The story of Aberdeen


Granite was a major new participatory arts project presented by the National Theatre of Scotland and Aberdeen City Council. It was held across seven months from September 2015 to April 2016 and celebrated the spirit of Aberdeen’s people and explored the city’s past, present and future.

O Street created a beautiful identity for the project, including a typographic marque bearing the qualities of the rock upon which Aberdeen was built.

I worked with O Street to animate this marque, exploring how the points of lights could build up in stages to form the full title of the production. The final animation formed a key part of the production branding and marketing.
